Thank you Santa Fe Springs Chamber for the opportunity to host November's Business Card Exchange yesterday morning at our East Whittier YMCA. It was a fun morning with great food and networking plus a riveting game of "pass the turkey."

This weekend, our Y held its Annual Halloween Pumpkin Plunge, a free event open to the entire community. The evening was filled with pumpkin decorating, swimming, and plenty of snacks. A big thank you to our staff, volunteers and supporters: Raising Cane’s, Kaiser Permanente, Stater Bros Charities, and the Smart & Final Charitable Foundation, for making this event possible.

We’re excited to share that our YMCA alongside the California State Alliance of YMCAs has partnered with Ballmer Group to make a significant impact on the lives of low-income youth right here in LA County! Thanks to a generous $20 million commitment over the next three years across nine YMCAs, we’ll be able to enhance our out-of-school programs, providing a safe and supportive space for our kids to learn, grow, and thrive. Our YMCA alongside eight other YMCAs in Los Angeles County will be part of this incredible effort, working together to ensure every child has access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. This partnership is more than just funding—it’s an investment in the future of our children and the heart of our community. Together with Ballmer Group, we’re dedicated to building a brighter tomorrow for all!
