? What a memorable evening at the 2024 Hispanic Achievers Awards & Reception! ? Last week, the YMCA of Greater New York gathered leaders, advocates, and community members to honor the exceptional achievements of Hispanic trailblazers who continue to shape the future of our city. ???? This year’s honorees – Carolina Jannicelli (J.P. Morgan), Mayra Linares-Garcia (Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages), Dr. Denise Nu?ez (Pediatric Critical Care Specialist), and José M. Villafa?e (Nueva Network ) – have shown remarkable leadership, dedication, and impact across industries, from healthcare to corporate strategy to nonprofit advocacy. ?? Through your support, the Hispanic Achievers initiative raised vital funds to empower Hispanic youth, helping them achieve their educational dreams and gain access to life-changing resources like reliable childcare and community support. ???? A special highlight of the evening was awarding scholarships to two outstanding Y Rowe Scholars, who are now one step closer to pursuing their college dreams. These young scholars are part of a program that supports predominantly Hispanic and Black students, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college. ?? A heartfelt thank you to all who joined us in making this night a success!

We are so thrilled to partner with Genesis and U.S. Soccer Foundation to unveil a new mini-pitch at the Broadway YMCA on Staten Island! The mini-pitch will provide NYC youth with a safe space to engage in sports and reach their full potential.

Last Thursday, MSNBC Host (Inside with Jen Psaki) and former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki joined the YMCA of Greater New York at their Women’s Leadership Luncheon – an annual event which supports and empowers girls and young women who participate in the Y’s Youth Leadership and College Access programs. Jen spoke with Sharon Greenberger (President & CEO, YMCA of Greater New York) about her own professional journey and provided advice to attendees from her unique experience working in both government and media at the highest levels.
