YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids hosted their annual Hour of Impact event this morning. So many stories were shared about how the Y has elevated lives over the last year, mine included. This event marks my 1 year anniversary with the Y! I'm grateful to feel a sense of belonging and continue to share my passion for strengthening our community. I belong. A sentiment I hadn't felt for years. I am valued. An affirmation I feel on a daily basis. I'm elevated! The Y has given me the space to lean into my community in ways I'd always dreamed of learning from some of the most talented people I've ever met! Thank you to my 8 family members in attendance and an additional 17 community partner attendees who joined today! More to come, stay tuned world! I've only just begun!

This event has always held a special place in my heart, but this year was NEXT. LEVEL! With a record-breaking 500 attendees, the theme "Elevate Your Life" couldn’t have been more fitting.
