“It is a great honor to receive the trust of the state and the county to provide this critical service to early learning centers in Chester County. We recognize that behavior support is no longer optional but is a requirement of a modern classroom. We are happy to share our expertise with other childcare providers for the betterment of our community.” - Bertram L. Lawson II, President and CEO ---------- YGBW is operating Chester County's Rapid Response Team to provide support to childcare and early learning centers across the county. Congrats to Erin L. and her team for helping to ensure that children have a chance to learn, grow and thrive. Read more in VISTA.Today. https://lnkd.in/ejKJU9Xp

If you are in a position to give to those affected by Hurricane Helene, the Pennsylvania State Alliance of YMCAs outlines ways to do so. Sending love and strength. ?? ?? https://lnkd.in/expVPm78
An Update on Hurricane Helene Response Efforts for YMCAs (9/30) Hurricane Helene has devastated parts of the southeastern United States, especially northwestern North Carolina, northwestern South Carolina and eastern Georgia. In partnership with Alliance leaders and association CEOs in these regions, Y-USA is working to understand the impact on YMCAs and their staff. Lack of power, cell service and impassable roads are making the task of assessing the damage very difficult. While the full extent of the damage may not be known for a few days, the information we have been able to gather suggests that it will be significant, and that the road to recovery for Ys and their staff will be long and difficult. How to Help: Contribute to the YMCA Emergency?Assistance Fund (https://www.ymcaeaf.org/), which provides financial aid to Y staff in need after natural disasters and other crises. Staff who have been impacted can apply for support at this same link. Donate to the Hurricane Helene Relief Fund (https://lnkd.in/gJuYZXQk).?Y-USA has created this centralized relief fund and will work with Alliance leaders to distribute donations to YMCA associations that need them most, to aid near-term efforts to get damaged facilities back up and running and to support long-term recovery. Please continue to?share the Y's national social media posts?highlighting our?relief efforts. We will keep you posted as the situation develops, and if needs beyond financial support arise, we will let you know what those are and how you can help.?In the meantime, we ask that you keep your Y colleagues and all people in these areas in your thoughts and prayers. The days and weeks ahead will be trying, but your support will be a great source of strength.
