The grand ceremony, held at Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry (Shanghai) Shipyard on 20 February 2025, was graced by the vessel's Godmother, Ms Evelise Neto Azevedo, alongside key industry leaders, including Yinson Production CEO Flemming Gr?nnegaard, Agogo FPSO Project Director Per Dyberg, Azule Energy CEO Adriano Mongini, ANPG Angola CEO Paulino Jeronimo, Angola Secretary of State for Petroleum and Gas José Alexandre Barroso, and COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry Director & General Manager Jiang Jijiang. Agogo FPSO features pioneering carbon reduction technologies, including the first post-combustion carbon capture system on an FPSO, supporting up to 27% lower emissions. This milestone reflects our commitment to sustainable energy solutions and delivering world-class FPSO projects. As Agogo FPSO embarks on its journey to Angola, we extend our gratitude to Azule Energy, Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry, our stakeholders, financiers, and the dedicated project team for their unwavering support. Right after our naming ceremony in China for Agogo FPSO, we marked on Saturday the start of our 10th offshore project with the first steel cutting ceremony for the FSO Lac Da Vang in Vietnam. The energy at the ceremony was electrifying - the sound of steel being cut, firecrackers bursting, and the shared excitement of everyone present symbolized the beginning of a project that will soon contribute to Vietnam’s energy security. This project, executed through PTSC Asia Pacific - a joint venture between Yinson Production and PTSC - demonstrates our continued commitment to innovation and sustainability. With 500,000 barrels of storage capacity and advanced dual-fuel systems, the FSO is designed for low-carbon operations, aligning with our sustainability goals. The Lac Da Vang FSO is expected to be operational by Q4 2026, further strengthening our decade-long partnership with PTSC. We are making a huge step into the carbon capture and storage (CCS) market with our acquisition of 100% of Norway-based Stella Maris CCS. Stella Maris, which holds a 40% stake in the Havstjerne Reservoir, has been awarded a European Union Innovation Fund grant of up to EUR 225 million. The company is at the forefront of full-scale CCS value chain development, covering carbon capture, storage, offshore transportation, and the permanent sequestration of carbon dioxide from industrial sources. Located on the Norwegian continental shelf, the Havstjerne carbon dioxide injection and storage project is a cornerstone of Stella Maris’ activities, helping industrial emitters reduce their carbon footprint. This acquisition strengthens Yinson Production’s presence in the low-carbon market and is a strategic step forward in our commitment to supporting the global energy transition. At Yinson Production Ghana, empowering the next generation is at the heart of our commitment to sustainable development. Recently, we hosted an inspiring end-of-year session at our Kejebril Base office in the Western Region, bringing together over 100 of our scholarship recipients from Senior High School and University. The session provided students with valuable insights into personal growth, career planning, and leadership development. Through engaging discussions, Yinson Production team leaders and the Head of Basic Schools at the Ahanta West Directorate of Education shared their experiences and advice, helping students build the confidence to navigate their future. Discussions covered a range of important topics, from overcoming challenges to making informed career choices. Students were encouraged to identify their passions, seek mentorship, and take on leadership roles that would build their confidence and prepare them for the future. They were reminded that resilience and continuous learning play a key role in long-term success.
