??Search as we know it is changing—and fast. Today, search rankings are all about what’s closest, most popular, and most relevant. But AI is shaking things up: soon, every search will be tailored just for you. For marketers, this means one thing: ???????? ???????? ???????? ???????????????? ???????? ?????????????? ???????????????????? ???? ????????????. Every detail—from what you offer to how you treat customers—could put you in someone’s top spot. #search #seo #ai #marketing
The Death of Universal Rankings: Why AI Will Make Every Search Personal (and Better). The way we think about search rankings is about to fundamentally change. Today, if you search "lunch near me," the results are pretty straightforward. Google explains that the restaurants in the response are ranked based on three main factors: Proximity (how close they are to you). Prominence (review scores and popularity). Relevance (how well they match your search terms). But I've been testing something with ChatGPT (and Gemini) that shows where we're headed. I asked both ChatGPT and Gemini (premium) about renting a scissor lift in Jacksonville Beach. While Google gave me the standard local results, ChatGPT did something remarkable – it recommended United Rentals specifically, explaining its choice based on: 1) Availability patterns 2) Customer service history 3) Overall reliability It stood firm when I challenged it about other rental places, explaining why United Rentals would provide the best experience for my specific needs. Essentially, centralized ranking is going away, particularly for more complex questions. Each AI asked me about my budget, if delivery was necessary, and other project details to refine the rankings further. We're moving from universal rankings to deeply personalized, context-aware recommendations. The AI isn't just matching keywords – it's analyzing everything from service quality to customer experiences to make tailored suggestions. This means every search in the near future will have different rankings, and that's ultimately a really good thing. Add memory to these systems (ChatGPT already has this) and see a world where "proximity, relevance, and prominence" become just three small ranking factors out of dozens. What does this mean for businesses? Rankings will become increasingly fragmented and personalized. This also means that every other data point on which a business wants to be ranked needs to be structured and fed to the crawlers and AI. What are your current promotions? How do you support the local community? What ingredients do you use in your products? How long have you served this area? What is your approach to customer support? Every single question that could help a customer re-rank your business needs data from your company.
