We had the honor of attending the dedication of the University of Utah Impact & Prosperity Epicenter, home to the Sorenson Impact Center and the Business Health and Prosperity Center. Funded by Jim and Krista Sorenson and Bob and Lynette Gay, this hub combines student housing with entrepreneurial learning to promote social impact. ? The Epicenter prepares students to drive growth, hope, and prosperity globally. It features a living/learning community for impact investors, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, health professionals, policy experts, and researchers. We also toured the building and saw the students' collaborative and experiential work. ? Thank you to MHTN Architects for their partnership on this project.

We are pleased to announce that The Architect's Newspaper has released a thorough new piece on the California Institute of Technology's (Caltech) dynamic new Resnick Sustainability Center. The intent of the Center is to unite all six scientific divisions of Caltech to work in a collaborative environment. Most university laboratories serve individual departments, like chemistry or biology, etc. This building breaks new ground by fostering experimentation and exploration of sustainable concepts. “In certain ways, Caltech is conducting an experiment that really hasn’t been done before,” Peters told?AN. “We are building an institute that really tries to pull, essentially, all of the campus toward problems and solutions in sustainability.” Thank you to Michael Franklin Ross and The Architect's Newspaper for this great article.

We had the privilege of attending the dedication of the Resnick Sustainability Center at Caltech. This remarkable facility, made possible through the generous support of Lynda and Stewart Resnick from The Wonderful Company, is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of sustainability science and engineering. The day started with a welcome reception, inspiring words from Stewart Resnick, and a tour of our 79,500-square-foot center, designed to be an incubator of innovation in sustainability. The center focuses on sunlight, climate, water, and ecology, embodying Caltech's commitment to addressing the pressing challenges of our time. We are incredibly grateful to the Resnicks and Caltech for engaging us in this transformative project, as this center will empower future scholars to tackle critical issues such as climate change and resource management. We would like to thank our design-build partner, Hensel Phelps, for their great partnership that garnered us a Building Team of the Year award from AIA Los Angeles. ?? Michael Moran

We are proud to unveil the new photography of the Resnick Sustainability Center! As a cutting-edge makerspace for scientists and engineers, Caltech’s new Resnick Sustainability Center will be a hub of critical research tackling today’s most urgent climate and sustainability issues. With its focus on sustainable materials and features, it’s set to be the greenest facility on campus. A huge thank you to our Design-Build Partner, HENSEL PHELPS, and all the incredible consultants who made this vision a reality.

This set of awards celebrates those in the Los Angeles area who contribute to equity, accessibility and inclusion through their work. Our project was acknowledged for its exceptional sustainable design features and will be officially recognized at the AIA|LA Design Awards Ceremony on October 30.? This is a Basic Needs Suite that provides easy access to food, professional clothing, help with housing and more.
