Aux jeunes leaders agés de 18 à 35 ans originaires des 25 pays couverts par le CRL YALI – Dakar et ayant des projets impactant dans le secteur du numérique. à l’issue de la formation qui cible une cinquantaine de participants, les dix (10) meilleurs projets reconnus par un jury d’experts seront financièrement primés. This is a reflection on my experiences at the first YALI Trade and Expo in Cape Town, South Africa. A little backstory: YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa was the first fellowship I ever applied to and was accepted into. It laid the groundwork for my leadership journey, the founding of my organization Haven Of Dreams, and my unwavering belief in the promise of Africa. Frame 1: I had the privilege of performing alongside Douglas Ogutu, and together, we lit up the stage! The first time we performed together was back in 2020 when the BGVs had to share one microphone, and the audience was under 50 people. This time, we performed for a crowd of 600—what an unforgettable experience! Frame 2: I was honored to sit down with David Gosney, Mission Director at USAID in The Box to share my experience with YALI and its impact in my journey as a leader. Moments like these, where I get to share about Haven Of Dreams and our vision for a future focused on mental health, are incredibly meaningful to me. Frame 3: The event was also a chance to reconnect with old friends, forge new connections, and strengthen bonds with like-minded individuals. Frame 4: It wasn’t all work—I had the chance to explore the beautiful city of Cape Town because, as they say, all work and no play makes Zippy a dull girl! The experience taught me several key lessons: 1. Everything aligns perfectly in its own time. 2. Africa is a treasure trove of ideas and talent, and the world has yet to fully witness its greatness. 3. Being mentioned in the right spaces carries immense power. Le panel bilan et vision du YALI a réuni les Directeurs et Doyens des institutions d’enseignement supérieur h?tes des quatre CRL. Le Professeur Rosaline Dado WOROU a défendu l’important investissement consenti par son établissement, le CESAG, pour la réalisation et le succès du YALI en considérant, entre autres, le patrimoine immobilier mis à disposition, l’exploitation de la marque CESAG et l’expertise des ressources humaines internes de l’institution de formation au profit du CRL. La directrice du CESAG envisage pour le futur une coopération beaucoup plus ouverte et encore fructueuse avec l’USAID pour le programme YALI. Pour l’opportunité offerte aux 30.000 jeunes (alumni des 4 CRL) à travers leurs institutions, et pour les réalisations remarquables de ces derniers dans leurs communautés, les directeurs et recteurs d’universités ont témoigné leur pleine reconnaissance au peuple américain, via l’USAID, pour leur soutien continu depuis bient?t dix (10) ans. #YALIExpo2024 #TradeShow2024 #YALIBilan #YALIPerspective #Partenariat #YALIAnniversary #CESAG
