Meet Robert Kochansky Robert Kochansky is the new Chief Operating Officer for Xpert Design and Construction. In his role, he will ensure the company has the resources needed to build communities that future residents will be proud to call home. With more than 35 years of experience in real estate and construction, Robert is passionate about the entire development process—from forging partnerships to collaborating with high-performing teams to bring projects from concept to reality. Fun fact: Over the past few years, Robert has read 16 of the 23 books in the Dune universe and expects to complete the 17th soon.

We at Xpert are not just celebrating the incredible women who are building our future, but we're also taking a moment to spotlight the transformative initiatives we're pioneering to support and empower them. Meet Cristina Kopak, Cristina is an Assistant Superintendent with Xpert at our Phoenix Station Apartments project in Decatur, GA. From growing up around her father’s construction company to forging her own path in the industry, Cristina’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Originally from Venezuela, she earned a bachelor’s degree in communication before moving to the U.S. Little did she know, she would find her way back to the construction field—working her way up from painting and finishing at a renovation company to becoming a Foreman, and now, an Assistant Superintendent! As an Assistant Superintendent, no two days are the same! She ensures projects run smoothly, oversees subcontractors, orders materials, punches units for owner walk-throughs, and works closely with inspectors to keep everything on track. Her proudest project? Phoenix Station! This was her first podium-style build, filled with challenges and learning experiences that pushed her to grow in ways she never imagined. Words of Advice for Women in Construction? “I know from experience that it can be intimidating to step into a male-dominated industry. But just like any other job, if you’re willing to learn, stay determined, and take responsibility, everything else will fall into place.” "Cristina's willingness to step in and assist in any situation has not gone unnoticed. She consistently goes above and beyond to help where needed, always maintaining a positive attitude," said Brian McDonald, executive vice president of XDC. "Her initiative in developing systems to track and manage tasks has significantly improved efficiency and streamlined processes. Her organizational skills are exceptional." We’re thrilled to be part of the Walnut Springs project in Seguin, Texas! We remain dedicated to building quality homes and creating opportunities.

We’ve made significant progress on our Sheehan Landing development in partnership with the St. John Center , and we’re excited to share we're on track! Set to open in spring 2025, this 80-unit development will provide permanent supportive housing for some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Each resident will have a furnished one-bedroom apartment, along with amenities designed to foster connection and well-being. We’re proud to see this vision come to life. Stay tuned for more!
