?? The First of Many: El Busesito’s Inaugural Graduation! We’re excited to celebrate the successful completion of the first cohort of El Busesito, Xiente’s innovative Mobile Preschool. Thank you, Crishtbel Mora at Telemundo 62, for shining a spotlight on our journey. Over the past six months, our young learners, ages 3-5, have received crucial educational support, while their parents have taken steps toward economic mobility with the help of dedicated counselors. For families in low-income, Latinx communities, where preschool attendance is often hindered by a lack of transportation, El Busesito has made a world of difference. By bringing education directly to their doorsteps, we’ve not only prepared children for school but have also provided parents with the tools they need to achieve financial stability. This program exemplifies our commitment to breaking down barriers and fostering economic mobility. Our heartfelt thanks to Adamary Sosa, M.Ed, our visionary Vice President of Education, and to our dedicated teachers, Ms. Sarah Clemency and Ms. Ashley Alicea. This milestone is just the beginning. With our Fall cohort on the horizon, we’re ready to support even more families on their paths to success. ?? Learn more about our Mobile Preschool at www.xiente.org or contact Sarah Clemency at [email protected] if you're interested in seeing the Busesito in your neighborhood! ?? https://lnkd.in/gg_G7fzi

Check out what Xiente is doing in the affordable housing space!
Philadelphia -- the largest poor city in the U.S. -- is short 60k units of affordable housing. Which is why it's thrilling that Xiente cut the ribbon this morning on 10 units of affordable housing in North Philly. And this is just phase 1! Affordable housing + education + job training = economic mobility. (AKA a bridge out of intergenerational poverty.) Thanks to Councilmember Quetcy Lozada Samuel S. I just love a ribbon cutting, especially when the homes look as brilliant as these! Xiente has worked so hard to bring these 10 deeply affordable units to completion and will rent them as part of their full wrap around services toward intergenerational wealth and family prosperity. Thank you to the Executive Director, Dr. Michelle Carrera, and her entire team, my fellow board members including Board Chair, Ariel Rodriguez, our contractor, Daniel Labrador, our architect, Jeremy Avellino, RA, LEED AP, CPHC, financial support through the Samuel S. Fels Fund, and to our Councilwoman, Quetcy Lozada. I'm extremely proud to see this coming to fruition as the first phase of many more to come!
