Pitching the same script as a startup founder gets exhausting… …if you’re using the same script. Decided to have some fun today and spice it up a bit at Moderne Ventures Annual Summit, including a room full of real estate executives and strategic investors. To address the common misbelief of #EV adoption “slowing”, while keeping it upbeat and playful, I whipped out a newspaper cutout my grandma mailed me in 2019, titled “Fear and Loathing in EVs”, to emphasize how naysayers have, and always will find a way to skew data to create a negative spin in a massively disrupting market. I got a nice laugh from the audience… still unsure if it was my comment on skeptics, or the fact I still have a 5Y old newspaper cutout from my grandma ?? ??♂?

She is an experienced C-level executive (currently CRO of SmartRent), board advisor, proptech consultant, revenue leader, real estate investor and GTM strategist. With over 20 years of experience building high-performing teams, scaling innovative technologies and driving market leadership, Cariola played a pivotal role at Zumper, where she aggressively scaled revenue through Series B, C and D funding rounds. She also brings valuable fintech and payments experience from her previous roles. This appointment marks a significant moment in Cariola’s career as she also steps into the role of Chief Revenue Officer at SmartRent (NYSE: SMRT), a publicly traded leader in multifamily smart home solutions. How does it work? Xeal uses a distributed ledger technology and time-based tokens. Users download our app, get a cryptographic token on their phone, and simply touch their phone to the charger to authorize a session.
