As a data-driven small molecule discovery partner, we're excited to share that our recent research has been published in American Chemical Society's Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling! In this study, we introduced a novel "multiclass fold-ensembled classification model" to predict the minimum number of synthesis steps required for small molecules. This method addresses challenges like data imbalance and provides a more accurate and flexible prediction of synthetic feasibility, with validation showing our model outperforms six benchmark models. By moving beyond predefined thresholds, we aim to contribute to more informed decisions in early-stage drug development. We honor Jeff’s legacy and the many lives he influenced throughout his career. He will be remembered with great respect and appreciation. The PhotoReAct Final Conference has come to an end, and I feel truly honored to have been part of such an incredible event. It was a privilege to present my work in front of such an inspiring audience. Saint Nicholas is celebrated in many parts of Europe at this time of year, bringing little gifts of tangerines, peanuts and chocolates to the children who have been good.
