“Because of my love for sandwiches, I met with several sandwich shop brands looking for a franchise opportunity,” Matt said. “I met with Jon Smith Subs, Jersey Mike’s and Great Steak Escape but found they were more do-it-by-yourself models than I was looking for. I met with Capriotti’s corporate team in Las Vegas and found they offered a great deal of support and training to ensure the quality is consistent across the chain.” Matt was named Franchise Partner of the Year in May at Capriotti’s regional meetings. He was cited for his dedication to excellence, leadership, innovation and visionary approach to teamwork that drives success for his franchise and the entire network. Matt was one of six franchise operators among more than 175 U.S. stores to receive an award.

Fast-casual restaurant brand Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop has unveiled plans to open two new locations in the US state of California! The first, located in Murrieta at 40469 Murrieta Hot Springs Road, will open on 31 July 2024. The second, located in Ontario at 920 N Haven Ave, Ste. 150, is scheduled to open on 8 August 2024. The Murrieta store will be managed by Laili Malikyar and her son, while the Ontario location will be operated by entrepreneur Tim Robison, who already owns a Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop in Eastville, California. Robison said: “We’re thrilled to bring Capriotti’s delicious subs to Ontario for the first time. We want local residents to know that we’re serving the highest quality sandwiches around, as we strive to turn our new Ontario shop into a convenient, family-friendly destination.”

This year, Capriotti's has opened nine new locations and plans to open another 14 by the end of the year. Of these new sandwich shops, five will open this summer. In 2023, Capriotti's opened 23 new locations. Looking ahead, the sandwich chain, which has more than 175 locations across the U.S., plans to open more than 750 locations by 2032, according to a?company press release.
