Wyomissing Area Education Foundation (WAEF) Mission Statement The Wyomissing Area Education Foundation is a community-based organization dedicated to expanding knowledge and enriching education in the Wyomissing Area School District. To achieve its mission, the Foundation will provide grants for programs, projects and equipment that will have a significant impact on the students. WAEF also provides scholarships that reward academic achievement and other significant accomplishments. To support its efforts, the Foundation will create partnerships within the community to identify areas of need, to facilitate programs and to encourage charitable giving. The Foundation will maintain a trusted and independent status in the administering of grants and scholarships, while honoring the objectives of the school district.

  • Wyomissing Area Education Foundation’s Board of Directors warmly welcomes Samantha Kaag as the new Executive Director as of January 11, 2024.?Samantha is well-acquainted with grants, event planning, and fundraising, currently holding the position of West Reading Mayor and having served on the borough council, all while residing in the Wyomissing Area School District.? ? With a background as a marketing specialist and project manager, Samantha brings a strategic approach to outreach and communication. In addition to her professional commitments, she actively dedicates her free time to volunteer work and involvement in various community initiatives. Samantha’s unwavering dedication to professional development is exemplified by her continuous pursuit of further education, ensuring she remains well-equipped to serve and contribute effectively to her communities.? ? Samantha is entrusted with the coordination of all fundraising, marketing, event planning, and management of grants and scholarships at WAEF. Her extensive experience, leadership skills, and passion for community development position her well to lead WAEF into a successful future.?

    Attention all Berks County K-12 school employees! We are still accepting applications for our Teacher Mini-Grant Program. The program provides grants of up to $500 for an activity or project that improves student learning and enhances the existing curriculum.
