Continuing our "Meet the Board" series, we would like to introduce you to Will Ranck Schwartz, the Chief Operating Officer of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole . Will has served on the board for three years and will complete his term on December 31st, after which he will go off the board. Over the last several years, Will has posed thoughtful questions that challenge us to examine different perspectives. He encourages us to think deeper and aim higher. Will shared with us, “As a fourth-generation Wyomingite raising a fifth, I serve on the board to bring our state’s nonprofits together to build a better future for our communities. Through our messaging, our ability to forge connections, and our advocacy, the Wyoming Nonprofit Network is uniquely positioned to make that happen.” We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Will for his contributions to our board. His commitment to insight has genuinely strengthened our organization.

Do you ever find yourself wishing for a little extra support in your role? It’s totally normal to feel that way sometimes! We all have those days when a bit of help would go a long way. That's why we're excited to once again partnering with Incite! Consulting, Kari Anderson to offer the 2025 Executive Director Confab! This is a professional development opportunity to Executive Directors/CEOs, to gain the knowledge and tools you need to thrive in the nonprofit sector. The course includes five virtual sessions and an in-person capstone session covering essential topics such as self-care, staff and volunteer coaching, board development, fundraising, and succession planning. Here's what one participant had to say: "The largest benefit was knowing/being reminded, that despite all of the challenges, EDs are not alone - there is a cohort of others going through something similar. It is easy to forget and become too isolated." Don't miss out on early bird pricing! Secure your spot before it ends on November 30, 2024. Registration and more information: https://lnkd.in/gXMQZm96

Last week, our team had the privilege of gathering with our regional state associations: the Colorado Nonprofit Association, the Montana Nonprofit Association, the Idaho Nonprofit Center, our wonderful hosts the Utah Nonprofits Association. Thanks to a grant from the National Council of Nonprofits, we collaborated and pooled our ideas to improve efficiencies, enhance processes, and strengthen the representation of the nonprofit sector as a whole. In the nonprofit world, staying adaptable is key, and that often starts with collaboration and teamwork. Those moments when we connect can spark incredible progress. Here’s to celebrating the opportunities we have to learn from each other and join forces for a brighter future!

We are excited to launch our "Meet the Board" series! Our first board member to introduce is Molly Box, Owner and CEO of Prairie Sage Creative Studio. Molly has served on the board for six years and will complete her term on December 31st, at which point she will be going off the board. Throughout her time with us, Molly has consistently stepped in wherever needed, always eager to support both the board and WNN. Her contributions as a business member have been invaluable. Molly shared with us, "It has been a pleasure serving on the Board for the last six years. I have seen the Network grow exponentially. I am proud to play my part in steering this organization, as WNN's mission is my personal passion. I look forward to the great things that are in store!" We want to take this opportunity to recognize and thank Molly for her outstanding contributions to our board. She has been a tremendous partner and ambassador for advancing our mission.

On the final day of the 2024 Wyoming Nonprofit Conference, attendees collaborated with their peers during a facilitated learning forum to enhance their organization's narrative, articulate the story of their support area, and provide direct input to the Wyoming Nonprofit Network to help amplify the voice of the nonprofit sector. During this session, individuals had the opportunity to write notes to themselves, which will soon be mailed out. Can anyone recall what you wrote? We would love to hear what stood out to you! Be sure to keep an eye on your mailbox! We are thankful for our partners who make the Conference possible. Special thanks to our 2024 Conference sponsors: Wyoming Community Foundation, Natrona Collective Health Trust, HUGHES CHARITABLE FOUNDATION, The Tate Foundation, ServeWyoming , Enroll Wyoming, Hilltop Bank, Lenhart, Mason & Associates, LLC, Pippsino, Upslope Media, and ICC Making IT Right.
