“Many hands make light work.” We appreciate the behind the scenes help from our Board of Trustees. They are always willing to step in, and step up, to help us with an event. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to each member, with a special thank you to our board president Gale Britton.

关于我们
Wynona’s House, the first fully co-located Child Advocacy Center (CAC) in the State of New Jersey, was established in 1999 and named in honor of the late Senator Wynona Lipman. For over a decade Wynona’s House has been the designated Child Advocacy Center of Essex County, New Jersey for child victims of abuse and neglect and their non-offending caregiver. The Center is a pillar of strength and support to the many families that come through our doors. Wynona’s House multidisciplinary team approach, a team response to child abuse allegations, afford child victims of abuse and their families the opportunity to receive multiple services in a centralize location from representatives of law enforcement, child protection services, prosecution, mental health, medicine, family advocacy, and victim witness advocacy. This unique model minimizes the number of times the child is interviewed, increases the success of prosecution, promotes the research and development of innovative evidence-based behavioral health treatment, and ultimately secures a safety net for the children and families of Wynona’s House. Our mission is to promote justice and healing by coordinating investigative, prosecutorial, treatment and preventive services.

Connell Foley showed up in the biggest way for us at Wynona’s House! They led the way as a Birdie Sponsor for our 4th annual charity golf event held on October 8. Support for our golf event, including this Birdie Sponsorship by Connell Foley helps us advance our mission of helping children who have been abused or neglected. Before taking the kids out for Trick or Treating, it’s important to have a plan in place to keep everyone safe! Here are 5 tips to keep your family safe on Halloween: Plan your trick-or-treating route, and plan to stay together. Watch for moving vehicles, golf carts, bicycles, and other moving objects, especially as it turns dark. Never put kids in the trunk of your car and drive them from house to house as kids can fall out and get injured. Wear reflective clothing to be more visible to those around you. Carry a flashlight or lantern to prevent falls and missteps. Inspect all treats before eating and share this plan with your child; to avoid meltdowns, bring your own treats and snacks for the road! Wishing you a safe and happy Halloween!
