How can we increase the number of women in leadership positions? What if we reimagined the way we live and work and created systems that were equitable for people across the gender spectrum? Kristin Meek —WYLD’s founder, mother, writer, artist, and executive coach—sat down with Authority Magazine and talked about just that. She also shared her story, how her perspective about success changed over time, and how mentorship isn’t just nice to have; it’s essential. We need each other now and always. Who has championed you, and when was the last time you thanked them? Click the link below to check out the full article. https://lnkd.in/eUjXVZGD

We talk about nature like it’s separate from us, but it is us. We’re a part of it. Just like the collaboration and communication amongst trees provide nutrients needed to survive and flourish, taking time to be outdoors nourishes us. No matter the location, all of WYLD’s retreats and workshops have the wisdom of nature woven into them. And by far, some of our most meaningful experiences with teams have been outdoors, feet in the grass, curious, and willing to see themselves in a new light. Video Source: The Sacred Science

Here’s a snapshot from a recent executive retreat WYLD hosted in Los Angeles. We start with agreements, creating a container of psychological safety. We weave in nature, science, art, ancient wisdom, experiential learning, writing prompts, recognition, and flip charts full of innovative ideas. As facilitators and coaches, we’re also partners in learning, and each moment reveals something we didn't notice before. A highlight of this experience was the breathtaking power of recognition. At the beginning of the retreat, each person was secretly given the name of someone they’d give a recognition toast to at our final dinner. And yes, you should save this post and do this with your team. We promise it will be one of their favorite things. What happened in those toasts was moving. The noisy restaurant felt quiet as each person spoke without notes, just heart. If you create a container to express how the people you work, live, and partner with uniquely impact your life, it will surprise you. It’s transformative. And now we’re curious. Who recognized you in a way that you’ll never forget? Tell us in the comments. And If you haven’t felt recognized lately, know this: there are people your magic touches daily. Love, WYLD
