Breaking news: Scientists in the US have found bits of microplastics in the breath of bottlenose dolphins. ?? This discovery indicates that breathing in these particles could be a way that dolphins encounter these pollutants. Inhalation as a route of microplastic exposure has not been extensively studied. Researchers will continue working on how to protect our ocean friends from these dangerous pollutants. Here are some tips to use in your daily life to help reduce plastic pollution in our Earth’s waters: ? Recycle and never litter! ?? Participate in beach cleanups ?? Avoid single-use plastics ?? Choose natural fiber clothing over synthetic ?? Choose brands with sustainable practices ?? Educate others
