On this Thankful Thursday, we recognize and salute our friend and supporter, Tony Kopchinski. Tony is the Host of the annual Wisconsin Woodturning event in Kronenwetter, Wisconsin, which recently celebrated their 10th year of serving and honoring our Purple Heart Heroes. We want to share with you some of the beautiful woodturning pieces that were thoughtfully crafted by Tony along with his friends at the Central Wisconsin Woodturners and the Wisconsin Valley Woodturners. These are just a few examples of the incredible work Tony and his friends make with our Heroes, and includes some of the items they teach our Heroes to make as they guide and instruct them in the art of woodturning. Our gratitude and thanks to Tony and his friends/supporters for sharing their time, gifts, talents, and these beautiful pieces with the Foundation. This week we celebrated Veterans Day, giving recognition and thanks to our incredible veterans for their service and sacrifice. We felt it fitting to share a special video project with all of you that we have been working on over the past few months. This video shows first-hand how people across this great nation are doing remarkable things in support of our mission at WWIA, and in support of the men and women who have bravely and selflessly served or actively serve in our United States Armed Forces. This project is a collaboration between WWIA and the remarkable community members in and surrounding two different places: Boaz, Alabama, and Phillips, Wisconsin. In both locations, there are exceptional individuals and businesses who come together each year to honor and serve our combat-wounded veterans, furthering our mission to bring Honor, Connection, and Healing to them. They work tirelessly behind the scenes of the annual WWIA Turkey Hunt (Boaz, Alabama) as well as the annual Camp Hackett Event (Phillips, Wisconsin), and this video is a living testimony to the tremendous good that can be accomplished when patriotic people across this great nation work together on behalf of America's combat-wounded Purple Heart Heroes. ?? There are WAY too many people to thank, so we will say a collective THANK YOU to the communities and people of Boaz, AL and Phillips, WI who have supported WWIA so exceptionally throughout the years.
