It was an incredible day out in the field with Women in Mining, visiting?Hinkle Contracting Company, LLC, one of CRH's mines in Paris, Kentucky! Seeing the operations up close and learning from the expertise of industry leaders was an inspiring experience. Field trips like these are invaluable. They offer firsthand insight into the mining process, the importance of safety, and the innovations shaping a sustainable future for our industry. It's powerful to witness women coming together, supporting each other, and making strides in mining. Thank you to everyone who made this experience possible! Looking forward to more opportunities that empower. #WomenInMining #MiningIndustry #EmpowerWomen #FutureOfMining

THANK YOU CRH! We want to extend our sincere gratitude for your generous donation to support our chapter. Your commitment to empowering students in the mining industry, particularly women, is truly inspiring. Your support will significantly impact our ability to organize events that encourage professionals to be in the mining industry, raise awareness about the importance of diversity in mining, go on field trips, travel to the WIM 2025 Annual Conference, and provide educational sessions with experienced mining engineers. These initiatives play a crucial role in fostering a more inclusive industry. We are incredibly thankful for CRH’s and Joshua Clark dedication to our mission. Your advocacy has not gone unnoticed, and we are genuinely grateful for your support. Once again, thank you! We feel fortunate to have partners like you. Warm regards, Women in Mining Officers,?WVU Chapter

Special thanks to Kathleen Tew for spending not one, but two days with our students here at WVU Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. On Wednesday, the student chapters of WIM WVU Student Chapter, WVU SME Chapter, and the Statler College Academic Diversity Committee co-hosted a seminar with Kathleen to discuss the diverse opportunities in the Mining Industry. We had a wide variety of attendees from freshman through graduate students in multiple engineering disciplines. On Thursday, our Mining Engineering sophomores got the opportunity to delve into Shaft sinking and mine development with Kathleen. It was truly a pleasure to have her on campus!
