According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, almost half of all adults living in the United States have hypertension, commonly referred to as high blood pressure, and about a fifth of those with hypertension are also diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. The WVU Medicine Division of Nephrology is helping patients manage their condition through a dedicated hypertension clinic, led by nephrologists Bethany Pellegrino, M.D., and Ojaswi Tomar, M.D.
