Hurricane Helene has strengthened to a Category 3 storm. A large part of our coverage is already under flood warnings and watches, and high wind advisories through Friday. Because of the severe weather, Radio IQ/WVTF Public Radio management decided to end our Fall Fund Drive one day early. We will close our phone lines at 6:30 p.m. and will not fund raise tomorrow. Our priority is public safety. Our focus is covering this storm to bring our audience the information they need to protect their families and property. Plus, keeping our staff and volunteers safe is the right thing to do. If you want to support our work, you can still donate at radioiq.org.

We have two days left in our fall fund drive, and we are scrambling to meet our fundraising goal before Hurricane Helene unleashes her wrath on the Commonwealth. Public safety is our priority, and we know our audience will tune in to hear updates on the storm and its impacts, not pleas for donations.? ? So we are trying to wrap up early. Please donate now to support public radio and nonprofit news.?You can make a donation on our website, radioiq.org, or call 1-800-856-8900, or text RadioIQ to 51555. ? Thank you & stay safe!
