The WVLPCA'S Annual Spring Conference is being held at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, WV on April 10th and 11th! As always, the 2025 conference will feature keynote speakers each morning, numerous sessions covering various topics within the field of counseling (including ethics, veterans, and ALPS), and exhibitor tables. In-person attendees will also enjoy complimentary continental breakfasts, buffet lunches, afternoon snacks, an evening reception with hors d'oeuvres and a chance to win curated baskets. This weekend, Tenikka Phillips, Dr. Brandon Waggoner, and WVLPCA’s own Kari Mika-Lude, PhD facilitated a training for another cohort of ALPS candidates! This group of 20 dedicated LPCs spent 15 hours of their weekend learning how to become a clinical supervisor and/or improve their clinical supervision skills for counselors in West Virginia. Kudos and congratulations to them all! The ALPS training is a partnership between West Virginia’s 2 counseling organizations: the West Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors Association and the West Virginia Counseling Association. Many thanks to our Assocation Administrator Maddie Plutro for helping to organize and host this event!
