WTS Central Florida Chapter had incredible opportunity to participate in a career fair preparation event at college valencia west campus. Erika Anglin and I engaged with students through interactive mock interviews. It was great reminder of what it felt like to be a student, preparing for interviews with a mix of excitement and nerves. But with bravery, practice, encouragement, and confidence, the process becomes smoother. Huge thanks to Valencia College for organizing this event, looking forward to more opportunities to support students.
Part of the WTS goal of fostering the development of women in the transportation field is achieved by encouraging new professionals to careers in transportation. WTS Central Florida Chapter is accepting applications for six scholarships. Applications are due April 4, 2025. WTS International also offers six scholarships for which each chapter nominates one person in each category.
