WTS's October Member of the month is Lisa Blackwelder! Lisa was born in Portland, OR, and lived mostly in Oregon and Washington up through college. In 1998, she and her husband moved to California, where she got her master's degree, then back to Portland a few years later. In 2005, they moved to Utah and lived there for 17 years before moving to Spokane, WA, about 2 years ago. Lisa currently works as a Technical Documents Manager at Horrocks where she has been for the last 7 years! Spending time with family is one of the most important things in her life. Lisa states, “We all love animals and have had a variety of pets over the years as the kids have grown. We've also done a lot of camping as a family and enjoy traveling and exploring new places. For hobbies, I love anything outdoors or having to do with nature, such as hiking, biking, camping, backpacking, and skiing - or even just sitting by a river watching wildlife. I also enjoy traveling, swimming, doing yoga, cooking, reading, and playing table games.” Lisa has been a member of WTS for 2 years. She says that it is exciting to meet industry people in the Spokane-Coeur d'Alene area and that the WTS Chapter events are a wonderful blend of being informative and offering a chance to get to know more people. It's an active group that is fun to be part of. We love having you as a member, Lisa! Thank you for being an active member and continuing to support us and our mission!
