Seeking new opportunities

Just some quick news for you tonight. This Friday, May 3rd will be my last day at WBTW News13 CBS. I've had nine years with this station, good years.... as the morning anchor, midday anchor, and now the evening anchor…and everything in-between. I’ve outlasted three morning co-anchors...two evening co-anchors...four news directors...and countless producers and reporters. ?? (All jokes...class acts, all of them!) I'm so thankful for this time I’ve had here. This station has been so good to me, had so much faith in me. I appreciate the nearly decade-long career I’ve been blessed to have here, more than you know. I've anchored every newscast, launched a 4p newscast, got to hang out with my best friend Wrigley for Patsy's Pet Patrol, told our local veterans stories, tried out numerous hairstyles, and got to meet some fairly cool people and co-workers...and some of my very best friends worked right beside me at this station. And I will miss this every evening, I will miss providing you the information our communities need to hear. I love this job, I'm passionate about this job, and I will never forget the impact this job had on me and hopefully you. This was a heartbreakingly difficult decision to make, but it's the right decision for me at this time. Thank you for warmly welcoming me into the community and into your homes. You'll still see me around the Grand Strand for now...and hopefully for years to come. Have a good night. ??
