I had the pleasure of chatting with two female CEOs who have recently done a transformational deal in the alternatives space.?Kristie Feinberg, CFA, President and CEO of asset manager John Hancock Investment Management, and Soraya Chabarek, CEO of credit firm Manulife | CQS Investment Management.?These ladies pulled off one of the most significant deals in the alts space in 2024.? We discussed the global demand for credit, the wealth channel and the democratization of alts, the need for distribution and scale to be a top player in the space, and of course, how these two ladies became CEOs in their respective organizations.?I am inspired to report that in my portfolio of clients, I now have many female CEOs and friends including Jenny Johnson (Franklin Templeton), Katie Koch (TCW), Penny Pennington (Edward Jones), and Robyn Grew (Man Group), to name a few.?As a female CEO and founder, it is beyond inspiring to see so many female leaders run financial organizations. Kristie and Soraya, you are both an inspiration.
