??????It’s National Agriculture Week. ??To mark the occasion, we’re celebrating agriculture and talking about the many ways WSDA supports farmers, food producers, and all Washingtonians. ??Today, we’re highlighting WSDA’s Commodity Inspection Division. This division is responsible for inspecting Washington’s fruits, vegetables, grain, hemp, and seeds to ensure they meet quality standards. This division also works at our state’s ports, playing a vital role in helping agricultural companies across the country export their products.

She plays a vital role in making sure pesticides and fertilizers used in Washington are safe and comply with all regulations. With nearly 55 years of experience, Shannon's work—such as helping write and digitize our pesticide and fertilizer databases—has had a lasting impact on public safety and the way WSDA operates. ????
