Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI) is a nonprofit training and technical assistance intermediary whose mission is to increase the effectiveness of people, programs, and organizations that are committed to generating pathways out of poverty through employment. We accomplish our mission by engaging in the following: ? Professional Training: WPTI leads the workforce development field in offering industry-specific training to practitioners at all levels. With more than 30 courses designed to meet the professional development needs of organizations serving our community, WPTI offers both centralized and on-site training. Our courses focus on these key areas: Customers, Leadership & Management, Organizational Development, and Systems Building. ? Organizational Consulting: WPTI partners with clients to address organizational challenges by utilizing evidence-based models and research. We offer customized technical assistance that enhance their programs’ framework; introduce innovative approaches to problem solving, offer concrete implementation tools, and proven strategies to improve organization performance. ? Systems Building: The Workforce Development Field Building Hub (The Hub) at WPTI brings together leaders from across the interdisciplinary and diverse NYC and national workforce community to identify common issues and solutions to strengthen the workforce ecosystem. We do this by creating linkages, fostering research; and influencing funding and best practice in the field. Expertise: Strategy Development & Execution; Program Design, Development, & Implementation; Process Improvement; Job Development & Employer Engagement Methodology; Curriculum Development & Facilitation; Conference Design & Execution; Resource, Staff Alignment & Team Development WPTI has trained thousands of workforce practitioners from over 350 programs and organizations that collectively serve over 500,000 jobseekers in New York City and across the United States.
