Every warrior has a next mission. We know that the transition to civilian life is a journey. And for every warrior, family member, and caregiver, that journey looks different. Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) began in 2003 as a small, grassroots effort providing simple care and comfort items to the hospital bedsides of the first wounded service members returning home from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. As their post-service needs evolved, so have our programs and services. Today, through our direct programs in mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care, along with our advocacy efforts, we improve the lives of millions of warriors and their families. This effort requires the passion and commitment of friends, supporters, and like-minded organizations that enable us to fulfill our mission. With their collaboration and support, we strive to ensure that when those who serve come home, they’re afforded every opportunity to be as successful as a civilian as they were in the military.

"Never Forget"...two words that carry so much weight, reminding us of the manifestations of its meaning. Never Forget...the wives and husbands, the sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, friends and colleagues who were lost on that fateful day 23 years ago, and those that continue to suffer from its effects. Never Forget...the value of our freedom, our way of life, and the democracy that we hold so dear as a nation that we too often take for granted. Never Forget...that evil does exist in the world, and that there are those who want to see our country destroyed and our people subjugated. Coming from a family of military veterans and NYC firefighters, It was an honor to help the Wounded Warrior Project this September 11th with an OOH campaign built on those two words. This included taking over screens across Times Square at 9:59am and 10:28am this morning, to commemorate the indelible moment and lives lost when each of the twin towers fell, and, amplifying this same message all week across NYC and DC to reach millions more A big thanks to the many OOH vendors who contributed time and ad space to make it happen, whether donated or discounted, including OUTFRONT Media, Clear Channel Outdoor, Branded Cities, New Tradition, Dream Outdoor, SILVERCAST Media, Heritage Outdoor Media, Big Outdoor , JCDecaux, and Firefly. #NeverForget #WoundedWarrior #OOH
