Years ago, a colleague proposed the idea to me of choosing a word for the New Year to function as a guiding light for my intentions. Throughout the last month of 2024 I thought about what my word for 2025 should be. I finally, this morning, settled on purpose. Purpose – what something is used for. An anticipated outcome that is intended. I also chose a bible verse to make sure that my intentions are in line with God’s wisdom. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. I invite you to use this process in choosing a word for 2025 – to guide you, to inspire you, to help you to continue to believe, regardless of the twists and turns that may come your way in this new year.
