I’m excited to announce the launch of my new firm, Worldview Advisory LLC. We are a global platform combining the best of public affairs advisory, geopolitical risk management and capital markets advisory “under one roof”.
It is rare in life to get the opportunity to work with your closest and most trusted friends. I’ve been able to do that with recent partners where we developed that trust, over time, and turned it into one of Canada’s largest and most capable independent public affairs firms. Now, with Worldview, I’m blessed to work with two great friends of over 30 years: together, we are bringing a unique offering and set of global capabilities to the marketplace.
@KirkWagar is a childhood friend who has accomplished what many can only dream to do. We’re both from the small town of Perth, Ontario (some say the Centre of the Universe??). Kirk has worked closely with former President Barack Obama on electoral victories in 2008 and 2012, and had an impactful foray as U.S. Ambassador to Singapore. He has since advised some of the world’s largest pension funds, private equity firms, crypto exchanges, and social media platforms. Given the parallels of our worlds, Kirk and I have often deliberated about finding a way to someday work together. Now we get to.
Similarly, I became great friends with @SashaJacob when we both played significant roles as political staff in the government of former Premier Mike Harris in Ontario. Sasha has built a successful career in investment banking as a pioneer in de-regulating sectors such as cleantech, renewable energy and cannabis. He’s a trailblazer in environmental finance through leadership in WWF Canada and The Nature Conservancy.
Bringing together Kirk and Sasha, our collective capabilities and networks, is a dream come true for me.
We have a tremendous core team of seasoned experts which I look forward to unveiling in the coming days. As well, a big part of the magic is our more than 20 Advisors in South and East Asia, Africa, Latin America, Eastern and Western Europe as well as Canada and the United States, all who are tremendously successful in their own fields and geographies, and who recognize there is more we can achieve together through Worldview than any of us could on our own.
This month, we are fresh off a very successful tour we created for former UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. We have also already retained several clients and are in the process of finalizing many more significant opportunities.
