Our Story
For more than 90 years, World Learning has worked to create a more peaceful and just world. Our education, development, and exchange programs help people find their voices, connect with their communities, strengthen the institutions that form the backbone of a democratic society, and build relationships across cultures. With our support, these emerging leaders tackle critical global issues like poverty, conflict, and inequality.
What We Do
World Learning works to improve global education, ensuring schools and teachers have the tools needed to support students, including English language instruction through TESOL teacher training. We encourage civic engagement in communities and strengthen institutions to better serve their constituencies. Our youth workforce programs help build the skills needed for the modern economy. Our robust portfolio of people-to-people exchanges enriches the lives of people from over 150 countries.
Careers
As both an accredited academic institution and an international NGO, World Learning offers the best of theory and practice to individuals and institutions in 162 countries. Our staff members are based across the world, including our headquarters in Vermont and Washington, DC, as well as international offices in 60 countries. They work every day to help others learn about and experience the world, creating leaders who go on to transform their communities.
