Culture defines legacy. I experienced firsthand the power of company culture when I called Godfrey Trucking. I called the company on the recommendation of the Utah Truckers Association. Apparently, their reputation preceded them. The first person I spoke to in logistics was Linda Murray. I let her know that we were needing to move 30-40,000 pounds of food to Kentucky as soon as possible as it was going to fill the gap for victims of the recent floods. She immediately said that it was likely something Scott Godfrey (Founder/CEO) would want to facilitate. Less than 2 minutes later, she called back, not just with a truck, but with a message from Scott Godfrey that the truck and driver would all be donated. Wow. There was no board meeting or request for special applications, just "where do you want us to pick up and where do you want delivery". If you are shipping, make sure you look up Godfrey Trucking.
