The biggest challenge in a recruitment business is to get your teams to replicate doing what's been proven to be successful in your business. As owners or leaders, we need to be constantly learning and exploring what are some new ways we might go about achieving things even more effectively. But, whatever is "the way" of doing things that generates the greatest results, that then needs to become the way that the whole business operates. And that's a challenge, in modest-sized businesses let alone larger ones! Hope this short video is a help with this - and, as always, would welcome your thoughts in the comments... #RecruitingTips #RecruitmentAdvice #Training

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail?? Should you share interview questions with your candidates in advance? ??? There's nothing quite like the anxiety and anticipation of a job interview.?? It's not unusual to see candidates sweating (figuratively and literally) in the hot seat, worrying about portraying themselves well and anticipating what questions might be coming their way next.? It begs the question: should we be sharing our interview questions ahead of time?? Does it help level the playing field and ensure candidates can focus on demonstrating their skills, or does it offer an unfair advantage and run the risk of diminishing response quality?? To help you make the right call for you, we've compiled some pros and cons:? ? Reduces interview nerves?? Rather than worrying about what to say or what you'll ask next, candidates can focus on providing thoughtful responses about their skills and abilities.??? ? Increases quality of candidate responses? Giving candidates advanced knowledge of the questions enables them to provide more detailed, relevant responses that build a fuller picture of their suitability for a role.?? ? Creates a more inclusive interview process? Sharing questions early helps you become more inclusive and accommodating to neurodivergent candidates or those with social anxiety who might struggle in the traditional interview environment. ?? ? Increases risk of over-preparation? Having too much time to prepare might lead to over-rehearsed, robotic responses that lack authenticity and make it difficult to gauge a candidate's ability to think on their feet.?? ? Provides an unfair advantage to some? Candidates with access to resources, coaching and more time to prepare could have an unfair advantage over others.?? ? Memorization can overshadow core skills? If candidates are reeling off responses from memory, it can be difficult to gauge core skills such as flexibility, creativity and their ability to adapt.?? What do you think? Are you for or against sharing your interview questions in advance?? #Recruitment #TopTalent #Hiring?

Please pay extra special attention to this message --- don't compromise on your fees. If a company wants to lowball you on fees, that's fine. They've just told you that they are a source company rather than a client. That's a company you're going to recruit candidates from. You're going to place those candidates into a business that values you and your candidates more highly. If you encounter a company wanting to make your fee rate a race to the bottom, move on and find somebody else to work with. Employers need you more than you need them. Never forget that - and so don't compromise on your fee rates! #Recruitment #Staffing #RecruitmentIndustry
