What advice do you have for young women who want to become a medical professional? "The current work environment often reflects a male-dominated framework. While women may need to navigate this reality initially, a more sustainable approach involves challenging and reshaping this structure to better accommodate the needs of all individuals, including women who need to balance professional and personal responsibilities. This may involve delegating tasks such as housekeeping to others. To maintain their well-being, both women and men need to learn to compartmentalize their work and personal lives. This involves focusing on their professional tasks during work hours and minimizing the intrusion of work-related concerns into their home life.” - Carolina Ciacci, MD
