Suppliers, the EU's recent reversal of ESG regulations may impact your sales. Keep reading to stay informed ? On the 26th of last month, the EU unveiled the "Simplification Omnibus" proposal, which aims to greatly lessen sustainability reporting obligations. This could alter how brands and investors evaluate sustainability, so let’s highlight the main changes: ?? Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD): - The reporting threshold has been raised to companies with over 1,000 employees. - Many high-impact businesses are now exempt from these requirements. - Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can choose not to share data with larger companies. → What does this mean for you? There can be less pressure to report sustainability at the same level, but it may also reduce the visibility of your sustainability efforts to brands and investors seeking transparency. ___ ?? Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD): - Due diligence now only pertains to direct suppliers. → What does this mean for you? Direct (tier 1) suppliers may need to establish new sustainability monitoring systems to meet the new reporting standards. Indirect suppliers (tier 2+) might still experience pressure as direct suppliers pass requirements further down the supply chain. ___ Our Recommendations & Advice for Suppliers: ?? Assess your status - Determine if you are a direct supplier to companies with over 1,000 employees to gauge your risk. ?? Create adaptable compliance systems - Develop sustainability reporting capabilities that can evolve with changing regulations. ?? Leverage sustainability as a competitive advantage - Promote your sustainability credentials to attract business, particularly from companies affected by CSRD/CSDDD requirements. ?? What’s next? The proposal still faces a complex approval process, with debates ahead in the European Commission, Parliament, and member states. But staying informed now is key to staying ahead. Are your high-quality materials being perceived as "expensive" when they are actually a worthwhile investment in quality? ?? ?? It's important to recognize the distinction: "expensive" can indicate outstanding quality and sustainability, whereas "costly" suggests a lack of value. For suppliers, it's crucial to convey the true production costs, including the craftsmanship, certifications, and sustainable practices that support your pricing. ?? When brands grasp the real value of your materials, they realize that investing more now leads to long-term advantages. Our platform enables you to highlight every aspect of your products → By offering clear insights into quality and production standards, we assist in shifting the focus from simple cost to true value. ?? Let’s work together to change the narrative ?? Enhance your offerings and ensure that your materials are recognized as the strategic investments they genuinely are. Our debut in Forbes reflects the momentum behind what we’re building: a global system built to unite the right players and reshape B2B sourcing for good. In "Exploring India’s Ministry Of Textile 2030 Plan At Bharat Tex", Forbes shines a light on how India is stepping into its role as a major global textile hub — and how World Collective is activating that potential by bringing together international buyers, suppliers, and innovators. The World Collective Experience at Bharat Tex 2025 was about opening doors, creating access, and showing what’s possible when you align technology, sourcing, and sustainability with action. This feature in Forbes is a signal—the world is ready to talk about real solutions for supply chain and fashion’s future. Thank you Cassell Ferere for recognizing what we’re creating, for joining us in India and for highlighting the broader conversation that needs to happen in fashion. This is the spark. The system won’t change itself ?? ?? Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/dwSXq8Cm

What does it mean to be a women-owned B2B company in 2025? Or, more specifically, a company that's not only owned by women but led by a team where nearly everyone is a woman? We proudly share that women make up the majority of our team, bringing different perspectives, experiences, and visions to the work we do. Being a women-owned fashion company in 2025 means, firstly, to navigate gender challenges that (contrary to what most people think) still persevere in recent days and not lightly: ♀? With approximately 94 million workers in the global garment sector, women represent 60-80% in different regions but are often in lower-paid positions. ♀?The International Labour Organization (ILO) estimates that at the current rate, it will take 257 years to close the global gender pay gap. ♀?More than 85% of graduates from top fashion schools are women, yet only around 14% of the top 50 major fashion brands are run by women. And this this is just one side of the story. As we look beyond Western views, the industry is even more a marginalized place for women. But beyond acknowledging (and living) these challenges, being a women-owned company is also about leading change and being proud to be bringing innovation, creativity and digital solutions to transform B2B fashion in a space historically shaped by male leadership. ?? A huge part of this journey is, of course, thanks to our CEO, Jeanine Ballone , whose vision and experiences inspired the creation of a team of strong women partners, bringing her ideas to life. ? In our supplier partnerships on our marketplace, we take a moment here to highlight CABES GIE, an organization that empowers a network of primarily women across 91 associations and nearly 2,400 artisans who transform GOTS-certified organic cotton into Dan Fani textiles in Burkina Faso. ??♀? International Women’s Day may have passed, but we won’t stop talking about the women who keep this industry running—seamstresses, artisans, and makers who (still!) are too often invisible. We want to bring more women-focused partnerships. So, if you’re a female textile supplier or know someone who is, we want to hear from you. Tag them or reach out to join our digital ecosystem! To all the women suppliers out there, we want you on our team as a key partner on our ecosystem. Let’s lead change in the fashion industry, together! #WomenLed #Sustainability #WomenInBusiness #B2BFashion — Sources: This post includes insights from NOT JUST A LABEL LIMITED and Global Fashion Agenda.

4 crucial questions every fashion brand and suppliers should be asking… …if they want to streamline operations and maintain a competitive edge. ?? Why is it important to be asking those questions? Consumer expectations are always changing, stricter regulations are taking place, a complex push-and-pull around sustainability, and more. Therefore, optimizing the supply chain shouldn’t just be a brand priority but a shared responsibility between brands and suppliers. Both can help each other. Yet, many are still navigating outdated processes and fragmented relationships, making efficiency and transparency harder to achieve. ?? So, to keep up, these are the questions you should be asking: 1?? How can we improve supply chain visibility and efficiency? → Visibility is power. Blockchain, IoT, and AI are transforming sourcing and logistics. Are you leveraging them fully? 2?? Are we fostering transparent, collaborative supplier relationships? → Suppliers shouldn’t be seen as just vendors, but as strategic partners. Stronger collaboration leads to better quality, ethics, and efficiency. Is your network truly aligned? 3?? What metrics are we tracking to improve performance? → You can’t improve what you don’t measure. Lead times, order accuracy, and compliance standards drive optimization. Are you tracking the right ones? 4?? Are our materials designed for a circular lifecycle? → Circularity is the future. Brands and suppliers must align on durable, reusable, and recyclable materials. Is your supply chain built for longevity? ?? If these questions are on your radar, it's time to rethink how your business operates. ? At World Collective, we’re bridging the gap. We help brands and suppliers eliminate inefficiencies, strengthen partnerships, and connect through one seamless platform. ?? Ready to transform your sourcing strategy? For the past few months, our team had been anticipating our collaboration with Bharat Tex 2025, and looking back, it was truly an immersive experience. As one of the world’s largest textile event, Bharat Tex brought together industry leaders, innovators, and changemakers shaping the future of fashion—an ocean of insights and opportunities, and we dove right in! Here are some key achievements we’re proud to highlight: ? Successfully connected and sourced opportunities for global brands, including Speedo PVH Corp., J.Crew and more. ? Engaged with top chairmen and representatives from India’s largest suppliers. ??More than 6k unique viewers engaged with content promoted through World Collective channels. ? And, of course, a standout element of this experience: our Phygital Experience—an innovative solution we created that seamlessly connected the World Collective Marketplace with local suppliers already onboard. By bridging digital and physical sourcing, it set a new standard for global trade shows and will for sure be a cornerstone of future editions! A milestone event with achievements we’re proud of! But our time in India didn’t stop there ???? We engaged with brands like Péro and Sabyasachi, immersed ourselves in India’s rich culture, and explored new possibilities driving sustainability and innovation. These conversations extended to thought leaders and key industry stakeholders, including Eric Trachtenberg (莊孟德), with whom we exchanged a lot of insights. Along the way, we explored the country’s intricate embroidery, luxurious fabrics, and sophisticated draping techniques—timeless elements that continue to shape Indian fashion. It was an immersive and beautiful experience altogether. We not only gained invaluable insights and built meaningful partnerships but also uncovered fresh perspectives on the future of the industry. Grateful to everyone who made this possible, from World Collective’s team (Mariana Muhle, Júlia Vila?a and Jeanine Ballone who represented us) to our peers Cassell Ferere and Ajay Shrivastav and the whole Bharat Tex 2025 team! Here is to building a more connected and responsible fashion industry—onward! ?? #BharatTex2025 #IndiaTextiles #SustainableFashion #TextileInnovation #EthicalSourcing #FashionSupplyChain #GlobalTextileMarket
