Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting incredible International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) visitors from Japan, Australia, and India—women leaders in STEM dedicated to making STEM education more accessible for girls in their countries. ??? The day began at West Career and Technology Academy, where students proudly introduced their engineering program and demonstrated their innovative robotics projects. Seeing the next generation of STEM leaders in action was inspiring! ???? Later, the group visited Senator Jacky Rosen's office to learn about her impactful work in the STEM field, including the STEM-related acts she has championed and her ongoing efforts to support education and innovation in our community. WACLV was honored to host a delegation from Armenia through the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) , focusing on ‘Emerging Labor Rights Protection Needs.’ The group began their journey at Opportunity Village where Chief Administrative Officer Tracy Brown-May guided them through disability job training programs and advocacy initiatives that foster inclusion in the workforce. At the Safety Consultation and Training Section, Training Supervisor Robert “Bobby” Albright provided insights into OSHA standards, workplace safety, and health initiatives for high-hazard environments. The delegation also visited the CULINARY WORKERS UNION LOCAL 226 where Director of Communications Bethany Khan shared the union’s work in advocating for Nevada’s hospitality workforce, including empowering immigrant and minority employees. At William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, they met with Professor Ruben Garcia to discuss labor rights frameworks and legal protections in workplace and disability law. Cultural highlights included a VIP tour of the #HooverDam and an evening of home hospitality hosted by Armenian-American community leader Andy Armenian. ??????WACLV was honored to host Vietnamese STEM leaders through the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on a project that focused on leveraging U.S. STEM expertise to drive Vietnam’s economy. ??During their visit, participants met with key figures, including Senator Jackie Rosen's office to discuss the importance of STEM in policy-making and engaged with experts at the Desert Research Institute to explore innovative STEM education strategies. ??They also visited the University of Nevada-Las Vegas to learn about supporting underrepresented students in STEM fields, and FIRST Nevada at Southeast Career Technical Academy to see how robotics programs are inspiring the next generation of engineers. ??These meetings provided invaluable insights into how the U.S. connects STEM education with workforce development and public-private partnerships to promote technological advancement. ??We're proud to support such impactful global exchanges for a tech-driven future! #IVLP #GlobalSTEM #WACLV #STEMEducation #CitizenDiplomacy

Our visitors from 11 countries spent three weeks in the US, in DC, Dallas, and Raleigh. It is no accident that their last city stop was Las Vegas, and their final professional meeting was with Broadband Group and Black Fire Innovation.
