We had an inspiring and heartwarming Veteran's Day event honoring the incredible service and sacrifices of our veterans. Through our Quilt of Valor ceremony, we presented handmade quilts to 2 veterans as a symbol of warmth, gratitude, and respect. Lisa Diggs, Army National Guard, was a client who received resume and interview prep and now is working in education. Jim Calko, Army, is one of our volunteer career coaches and is a Principal Consultant. Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring these heroes. Each quilt represents our community's deep appreciation and was crafted with care to wrap our veterans in comfort. A special thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who made this ceremony possible. Let’s continue to remember and support those who have served. #VeteransDay #QuiltOfValor #ThankYouVeterans

On October 25th, at Camp Pendleton, Working Wardrobes’ Power Up for Success (PUFS) event made an incredible impact by helping Servicewomen transition smoothly into civilian careers. Through a combination of inspiring keynote speeches, career-focused workshops, and professional makeovers, we provided valuable tools and support for these women as they take their next steps. One of the highlights was Jill Schulman, MAPP, USMC Veteran, Speaker, Consultant ’s powerful message on bravery, which resonated deeply with attendees: “Bravery isn’t the absence of fear. It’s the ability to act in spite of it.” Servicewomen left feeling equipped with a new mindset and the confidence to succeed. From selecting a Success Suit to taking professional headshots and engaging with a career panel, it was clear that success isn’t just an individual journey—it takes a village. The sense of community and support was truly inspiring. If you couldn’t attend PUFS, don’t miss our Veteran’s Day celebration next week on November 11th, where Jill will be back to share her insights on bravery, alongside other special tributes. We’re honored to continue supporting our Veterans as they transition to new careers: https://lnkd.in/gDU76CE
