?? Happy 1-Year Anniversary to Our Incredible General Manager, Chadwick Engleman! ?? It’s hard to believe it's already been a year since Chad joined the Working Studio family! With an impressive 29 years in the entertainment industry, Chad brought invaluable experience and passion that has been instrumental in helping us grow and thrive this past year. One of Chad’s proudest moments so far has been working on the "Big Body" exhibit for the Highlands Museum & Discovery Center. The smiles and excitement from children interacting with it made all the hard work worthwhile and truly captures the heart of what we do here. When Chad isn’t leading the studio, you’ll find him giving back to the community, actively participating in various committees in both Cincinnati and Finneytown. And when he’s not in the studio or the community, he's hard at work at his cabin—because for Chad, the work of a creator is never really done! We’re so grateful to have you with us, Chad. Here’s to many more years of success and creativity together!

Today, we accomplished another major milestone within the Champion More Curiosty Campaign. We opened Kids’ Town Park in The Children’s Museum, our latest update in that museum is a beautiful, interactive way for kids and adults to begin their journeys to 30 million words together. The research shows that kids who are exposed to 30 million words in intentional, meaningful ways by age 3 are set up for future success in reading comprehension, math and spatial skills and empathy. We know Kids’ Town Park will be transformational for so many of our youngest explores. We are very grateful for the generous support of so many to make this possible. A special thank you to Ohio’s First Lady, Fran DeWine for joining us and reading the first book in this beautiful space! #youthliteracy #education #literacy #impact

We’re literally ecstatic: We have upcoming updates in The Children’s Museum! An entirely new space is sprouting in The Children’s Museum to showcase literacy through play. Opening June 28, the Kids’ Town Park will house some of life’s greatest building blocks: Words. This vibrant, park-themed gallery will aim to help language learners ages 0-6 as they explore letters, words and sounds through interactive, hands-on play. This new, permanent addition gives kids and adults the tools to experience language together with the hope of equipping our youngest guests with positive habits they can carry with them throughout their lives. Surrounded by artwork by local artists Lizzy DuQuette, Charley Harper and Annie Ruth, the Kids’ Town Park has an array of special play areas such as: ?? An interactive pond floor projection that helps you learn about verbs as you enter designated hot spots and activate butterflies that flutter, worms that wriggle and frogs that leap. ?? Rotating character cubes that invite you to tell a funny story using six characters for you to mix and match. ?? Speak to the talking tree and hear your words repeated back to you in a different voice, helping match spoken and heard words. ?? A street library that turns letter cards into a giant see and say, reading the letter and picture out loud with a focus on phonics. ?? An art in the park station encouraging you to create your own story using pieces of felt cut into familiar and abstract shapes. ?? And so much more! Every word a child hears is a building block to how they learn about the world around them and, to put it simply, we’re stoked to be a part of their learning journey.
