Curious about the leadership shaping the Workhouse Arts Center's vibrant programming? Meet Caroline M. Blanco! Caroline brings an incredible blend of legal expertise and artistic passion to our community. As Assistant General Counsel at the National Science Foundation, she manages critical legal issues involving environmental and cultural property law. Her impressive career includes serving as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, focusing on historic preservation, and teaching cultural property law as an adjunct professor at American University. Before pursuing law, Caroline trained as a classical pianist and opera singer—a passion she continues to share by teaching local students. Her unique perspective and dedication to the arts have greatly enriched the Workhouse Arts Center, enhanced our programming and strengthening our creative community. These grants are a testament to our commitment to the arts and will allow us to enhance our programs, expand community-based initiatives, and continue fostering creativity and connection. With over 800 classes and events each year, nearly 8,000 students, and more than 100 resident artists, our center is a hub for creativity and collaboration.
