Two new e-vans, the Workhorse Group W56 and W750, are now available for purchase in Canada.
Last week, the U.S.-based technology company received approval from Transport Canada - Transports Canada to import and sell its electric step vans.
“This is a major step forward for Workhorse,” says Josh Anderson, Workhorse’s chief technology officer in a press statement. “Pre-clearance from Transport Canada opens up a large new market for our products throughout Canada, including with fleets that operate across borders in North America.
Workhorse designs and builds its vehicles in the U.S. at its Workhorse Ranch in Union City, Indiana.
As part of the approval process, Workhorse completed its registration as a foreign manufacturer under Transport Canada’s Appendix G pre-clearance program. Transport Canada reviewed the company’s documentation to confirm compliance with Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS) for both vehicles.
