A systematic guide to help users throughout their job search journey.

Ghost/fake job postings are used to appease current overworked staff with the belief help is on the way, attract new talent, imply company growth, and collect data from resumes to use in the future. Sadly, a significant percentage of hiring managers think fake postings are acceptable. One option to navigate this is by recognizing the theory, Six Degrees of Separation. Any person on the planet can be connected to any other person on the planet through a chain of acquaintances that has no more than five intermediaries. It is?the idea that all people are six or fewer social connections away from each other. As a result, a chain of "friend of a friend" statements can be made to connect any two people in a maximum of six steps. This is usually not a "one and done" tactic. You need to work at finding a direct introduction to someone involved with the hiring process. Take a moment to review your contacts and map them to the company/job you are interested in. Begin by asking friends, family, past co-workers, recruiters, your insurance agent, your financial advisor, your realtor, a member of an organization you belong to, etc.
