FUN FACT: Giraffes are the tallest animals in the world: Adult giraffes can grow up to 18 feet tall—that's like three kids standing on each other’s shoulders! HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO YOU? Studying giraffes helps scientists understand unique adaptations, such as how their long necks affect their circulation and how they thrive in harsh environments. This knowledge can even inspire human medical advancements! HOW DO GIRAFFES CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR ECOSYSTEM? Tree Trimming Experts: Giraffes feed on leaves from tall trees, particularly acacia trees. This helps keep the trees healthy, stimulates new growth, and ensures sunlight can reach the plants below.
