Happy sweet 16 to us and our amazing founder! Check out Meghan’s list of 16 learnings she’s had on the journey here. ????
Sixteen years ago, I took the risk of following my entrepreneurial spirit and started Honey. Our goal was to commit to the intersection of marketing and design while empowering the food, beverage, and agriculture sectors through thoughtful strategy. Along the way, I learned a lot about myself, others, and this business. Here are sixteen things I learned over sixteen years. 1. Your passion is profitable. Your business may not be for everyone, and that is okay. Work with the ones that value what you bring to the table. 2. Care but don’t carry. (a quote shared by my friend Paul McClure) 3. If you are an?ass?to anyone in hospitality, you aren’t my people. 4. Understand what cash flow is, means, and understand your money and budget. 5. Business development is your heartbeat. Don’t put it on the back burner. 6. Pay yourself. Yes, a salary. 7. It’s okay to leave a meeting to get your kids. Don’t apologize for it - just say it early and exit confidently. 8. If you market or create for a community that you don’t inherently understand you better listen and learn. Remember, it’s not your story, it’s theirs - design it right. 9. Break bread, meet for a drink, always. 10. Surround yourself with people who are positive, give a shit, and address your weaknesses. 11. Pick up the phone. A human voice is better than email. 12. Evolve or dissolve. (a sentiment shared by adam federico) 13. Write it down. Take notes. You aren’t going to remember it all. 14. Ask for help and ask often. When you form trusted relationships with brain trusts and the community around you, they help carry you through the hard times. 15. As the leader and owner, it is your job to protect your people - even if it means you get the brunt of it. 16. Authenticity and integrity above all. Full stop. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this incredibly fulfilling journey. Cheers to learning more!

It was an honor working with the incredible Neighborhood Wellness team on their brand strategy and identity. From the outset, it was clear that their work was vital to their community. We established a strategy that focused on amplifying Neighborhood Wellness's unique strengths—trust, awareness, and adaptability. By refining their brand structure, simplifying their name, and developing a visual brand identity that resonates with their neighbors, we helped them clearly communicate their impact and continue their generational investment in the community. Introducing, the brand identity for Neighborhood Wellness—a moment where strategy and design came together to reflect the heart of the community. ????The logo fonts, thoughtfully chosen from Vocal Type, are stacked to symbolize uplifting the neighborhood (community) through wellness. A vibrant color palette energizes the identity with hope and empowerment. We’ve designed the visual identity system to resonate deeply with the communities Neighborhood Wellness serves.? As we approach the 11th annual Farm-to-Fork festival this weekend, we dug through our logo archives to reflect on the expansive brand architecture we’ve created over the years to share what makes our region so special. Honey has always been proud to work alongside our region’s farmers, growers, restaurants, organizations, and individuals that contribute to the local culinary and agricultural landscape. 01.
