Many organizations were doubly bold as they refreshed the strategy for 2025, yet changed nothing about strategy execution to match those ambitions! If you expect better, bolder outcomes, then tune your operating rhythm to match the scope and speed of your ambitions each time you refresh the strategy. 4 questions reveal the likelihood of executing well this year: 1) The op rhythm is the pace setter - is yours fast enough to create certainty of strategy achievement? Are your key results all end of period or are they driving active priority decisions week to week? 2) Is the cadence of x-functional touch points high enough to create mutual accountability and the x-f behaviors that will drive new company outcomes? 3) Is the SLA for transparency clear and do you reinforce it? Can people rely on the data they see to make solid decisions on the spot or does it take a meeting with 10 people to get that data? 4) Do leaders at every level demonstrate what accountability looks like?
