Does it make sense? This is really what market research answers. And Perceptual Mapping is the best process I know to get you the answer. Does it make sense to keep positioning how I have been? Does it make sense to price my products lower in the market? Does it make sense to post 5+ times a week on social platforms? Does it make sense to acquire that new product (or company)? Does it make sense to open up a new business location? Does it make sense that I am not achieving the results I want? I can go on and on . . . Are you ready to learn what makes sense for your and your business? DM me WOOSH and let's get started! Happy Fedora Friday! What are you doing that makes sense?

How do you really know what type of content to create? (If you don't do Perceptual Mapping - here is what you may be missing). NOTE: This is not meant to throw shade on anyone in Personal Branding, Product or Service Branding, or similar. Creating content (written or video) is hard enough without having one hand tied behind your back! If you haven't performed a Perceptual Map, you are definitely limiting your knowledge. You likely don't really know: --> Who your best, most ideal clients/customers are --> What voice and tone will resonate the best with them --> What specific messaging you should use LOTS of personal branding and content creation experts here give excellent advice about: -->Make sure to identify your ICP clearly -->Being focused on your niche that is your USP (your value) What I rarely see: --> Best ways to truly understand who your ICP should be and why --> Best ways to truly identify your true niche and USP --> How to even develop a voice and tone that will resonate --> How to develop messaging (using this voice and tone) As a marketing guy with over 30 years of successfully launching all kinds of products and brands (over 80), I have learned a thing or two about what is needed for the best chance of success. I have learned that everything begins with a solid Perception Management strategy. The best way I know to identify . . . ?? Your "Who and what and why" ?? Who your ICP really should be vs. what you thought ?? How what you offer is perceived in the market (and why) ?? What your voice and tone should be (and why) ?? What your messaging should be (and why) .... is with a Perceptual Map (internal and external). Have you been doing these (or something like them) for your clients? Do you know what a Perceptual Map is? I am guessing probably not. ? But don't worry - this is why I am here! If you want to learn how Perceptual Mapping works DM me PERCEPTION and let's get started! Want to become an actual marketing expert? Follow me David Rosenberg Don't forget to check out my new book on Perception Management (it is in the featured section of my profile). It’s Fedora Friday! (Time to drop a little wisdom) ???? Knowledge is NOT power. Yet, all our lives, we have been told that it is. By teachers, by mentors, by friends, and even by our parents. But here is why this doesn’t work: How many of us know people that have all kinds of knowledge but aren’t using it? No action taken. (Where is the power in that?) Or worse, they believe with their knowledge they now know enough to teach others, but have hardly done real life work themselves? (HINT - there are many people right here on LinkedIn) ?? - uh oh, I said the quiet part out loud. There is a great principle I teach in my seminar on Perception Management (you can also find examples in my newly released book —> shameless plug). I call it the “the wisdom principle.” ??Wisdom comes from experience ??Experience ONLY comes from “doing” ??You can’t “do” without knowledge I believe that: ??Wisdom is more powerful than experience. ??Experience is more powerful than having knowledge. Therefore: ???? Knowledge is only the first step to gaining power. Who agrees (or disagrees)? Are you ready to grow your skills in Perception Management? Let’s Woosh things up a bit! DM me PERCEPTION and let’s get started. Please share ?? with people who need help turning knowledge into wisdom. Want to become an actual marketing expert! Follow me David Rosenberg Read my new marketing book on Perception Management (click the link in my profile in the “featured” section). PS - What knowledge are you sitting on and not using that could grow your business?

When a business is misperceived, it can be crushing. (How I modified the way a business was perceived) An investment advisor owned his own firm. Unfortunately, he had the same last name as the owner of a PE firm (a completely different firm) who’s firm was accused of fraud. The firm names were completely different but the local news stories and online articles always had the owner names mentioned (Again, the owner names were exactly the same by coincidence). We first performed a Perceptual Map to understand: ?? What existing clients perceived based on working with the advisor and with the news stories. ?? What voice and tone would be needed to counter market perceptions. ?? What differentiated the advisor services from the PE firms We discovered that a great differentiation existed: Real Easte Investment Trusts (REIT) are super regulated. (Simply put, for a fiduciary, you can’t cheat with them). We developed a new strategy to modify perceptions. We developed all new promotion to position the advisor firm as the premier REIT experts. —> We had white papers created —> We had articles and blogs written —> We had over 1,000 backlinks created —> We had all new sales collateral made —> We had videos made —> We had speaking gigs created And many more tactics were created to support this strategy. Everything focused on REIT as the firms specialty. RESULT: The Advisorary firm ???? Successfully separated its perception vs, the PE firm. ???? Successfully became perceived as the premier REIT specialty firm in the state ???? Revenues grew by 28% The last name of the owner was no longer mistakenly linked to the PE firm. Anything and everything benefits from the Principles of Perception Management. Have you done your perceptual map yet? What are you waiting for? Are you ready to Woosh things up a bit? It’s Fedora Friday! You know what that means. (Dropping some wisdom on you) ?? Too many people get prematurely concerned with the “how” when setting goals. ?? You have to identify your “what and why” first! —> What is your real desired outcome? —> Why do you desire it. If you are super clear on these two things you must get into a mindset where: ?? Your desired outcome is the only thing you are willing to accept! If you do this, guess what happens? ???? The universe (and your brain) will find away to make it happen. But be warned: ?? You need to understand that the path to your outcome may not be what you expected. And that is ok! Everything comes down to perception management people! What you perceive is what you believe. This is true in ourselves and in others. So whether you are: —> A personal brand —> A product —> A service The same thing applies when you work to position in your respective markets (or here on LinkedIn) Want to learn more about perception management and Woosh things up a bit? DM me PERCEPTION and let’s get started! If you find my tid bits of wisdom useful, be sure to follow me David Rosenberg Please share ?? - we all know someone who needs to hear this today!

?? I want to break into the movie business! Well, actually, not me really, it was a client of mine. And they wanted to break into the "business side" of the movie business. They are a Georgia CPA firm that wanted people in the movie business to become their clients. Georgia is the largest growth area for the film industry. So, what did I do? I performed a Perceptual Map (external, then internal) first: ? External Perception Map (market research) with actors, directors, grips, set builders, producers, and more to learn their perceptions of everything they needed to ensure they could mitigate tax and regulation liability if they were shooting in Georgia. I learned everything that concerned them most (things like): --> Do they need an LLC --> If in Georgia for more than 3 months, what state tax liability do they have --> What can they write off while working in Georgia --> Who can they trust (who are the film industry tax experts) ? Internal Perception Map with the partners in the CPA firm to learn what they thought the market (and all the players) perceived and how best to communicate with them. --> We identified disconnects with internal beliefs vs. external perceptions --> We identified the best targets to go after (Actors, Directors, Producers, Grip/Equipment people, Unions, etc.). --> We identified the specialty CPA services to offer each target audience --> We identified how they wanted their audience to feel after using their services --> We identified what made their CPA firm much different vs. competitors. When the Perceptual Maps were completed, I was able to create: ? Voice and Tone ? Individual target lists (they really had 5 different ICP groups to go after) ? Positioning strategy to use with each target audience ? Communication plan (partnering with an Ad Agency for implementation) RESULTS ?? Now >25% (nearly 4,000) of the CPA firm's total clients are in the Georgia film and TV industry. ?? This firm is seen as the premier expert for anything tax-related for the Georgia film and TV industry. Everything and anything comes down to how you are perceived. If you want to learn more - DM me PERCEPTION and let's get started! ?? Please share with people who can benefit from Perceptual Mapping. ?? Follow me David Rosenberg for more information on Perception Management and what it can do for any business.

Please can we have a moment of silence? A year ago, the start of the horrific situation in the Middle East began with an evil, vicious attack on innocent Jewish kids and young adults at a festival in Israel. Regardless of ANY of your political believes, religious beliefs, etc etc. I think we can ALL agree that too many people are now dead as a result. Let’s just take one moment to provide remembrance and respect to everyone who should not be dead, but who is. No need to do any comments… Just think about how lucky YOU are and all the things you can still be thankful for. ????????????????? Please, won’t you share ?? this with others?
