On June 27, youth leaders from Woori Center and the Driving PA Forward coalition led an action in Harrisburg urging the PA legislators to pass HB769 and make driver’s licenses accessible for all Pennsylvanians. We marched to the Capitol with Nonggis (Korean folk banners) shouting out “Driver’s license IS for all.” The youth leaders highlighted the urgency of the issue through powerful testimonies during the press conference, and delivered 40 letters to PA House and Senate leaderships. The refusal of PA legislators to extend driver’s licenses to all Pennsylvanians highlights their failure to address the Commonwealth’s evolving demographics and current social and economic needs.
