This could be you! We're still searching for our next Animal Caregiver. Animal Caregivers are responsible for the feeding, watering, administration of medications, and monitoring the physical and emotional?well-being?of 300+ farmed animals. You will be part of a team that performs health checks and health maintenance, maintains health records, supervises interns and volunteers, occasionally cleans buildings and unloads hay and straw, and may interact with the public on tour days and at special events.? Take a special tour of the Sanctuary to visit with the animal residents who call Woodstock Sanctuary home, including our nine amazing turkey residents, followed by a reception at the stunning Gray Barn, our on-site inn. Friends — we have good news and bad news to share with you. ?The good:?Right now, a generous friend of Woodstock Farm Sanctuary is matching all new monthly gifts of $10 or more with an additional $100 donation until Friday. This is a huge help and every dollar counts. The not so good news? The cost of everything we need here at the Sanctuary to keep our residents healthy and comfortable -- like medications, food, and bedding -- keeps rising, while?donations to the Sanctuary have been steadily declining. Without reliable monthly donations, we cannot commit to new rescues. That’s why we need you to set up a monthly donation today We can only rescue animals like Antonio (who turned 12 this year!) if we know we can promise them lifelong sanctuary. We have to keep that promise to our residents when the temperatures drop below freezing in the winter and heating bills skyrocket. We have to keep that promise when a resident has a medical emergency, or when our seniors need extra care. Our monthly support has slowed. For our rescue work to continue,?we need 100 new people to become monthly donors. This Saturday!

The devastation in the path of Hurricane Helene is indescribable and we still won’t truly hear about the full extent of it for some time. Our friends at?Full Circle Farm Sanctuary?wanted to use today, World Farmed Animals Day, to bring attention to folks on the ground who are working to help get critical supplies to rescued animals in affected areas, so we’re following suit. VACCINE DAY??: There’s a lot of “boring” stuff that is crucial to our animal rescue and care work — and those costs add up. We’ve got an upcoming vet day this week where ALL our large mammals need to get their updated vaccines. Erica here is not looking forward to it but we know that this is important for her health and safety! This is going to be a LONG day and it’ll cost around $1153.
