Tyler Richardson describes his journey at Woodside as “Fun, Challenging, and Educational.” With a background in graphic design from USC Aiken, experience as a baker, freelance artist, and department head at Hobby Lobby, he felt that working at The Village Café would be an ideal opportunity to blend his creative and organizational skills. His interest in Woodside stemmed from hearing nothing but positive feedback about the establishment during his time in Aiken, which motivated him to become a part of the team. Tyler started as a barista at The Village Café and has since risen to the role of Assistant Manager. In this position, he manages scheduling, events, customer service, and ensures the Café has everything it needs to operate smoothly while providing an enjoyable experience for visitors. Throughout his time at Woodside, Tyler has enhanced his communication skills, particularly in effectively expressing his needs and understanding customer requests. He’s also gained valuable insights into business finances, finding that each day presents new and worthwhile learning experiences.
